After dye, IMO buckle tab looks nicer. (Top piece). A coat of finish or two(to stop dye leaks re:skin) and it will be ready for assembly.

Second coat…hard to see because I effed up the photo....

Second coat…hard to see because I effed up the photo. Generally much more even colouring, and the red/blue are darker (red is less pink)

No luck on the raisin mahogany - supposed to be purple eventually. We’ll see what a 3rd coat brings.
